South Carolina and Georgia
The East Coast of the United States is without a doubt the area of the country with a larger history, and where most of the great battles took place to be able to build the nation that we all know today.
South Carolina is located in the South of the country, on the South East. Even though its territory has a small surface, it is a leading producer of textiles and the second largest producer of tobacco in the country (only behind North Carolina). It borders in the North with North Carolina, and with Georgia in the South.
Even though the capital of the State and the Government are in Columbia, the largest city that also has the largest historical and economic importance is Charleston. It is an authentic colonial treasure that deserves to be visited. Aiken is the capital of Aiken county, and has a population of 30.000 inhabitants. The city of North Augusta (20.000 inhabitants) borders with the city of Augusta in Georgia. The city of Augusta, very well known for the Augusta Masters Golf Tournament, is the second largest city in the State, after Atlanta.
